The Hall was gifted to the village, along with the Reading Room, by Thomas Foster Knowles in 1937. In 1955 the New Hall was being used.

Committee

The Hall is run by a Village Hall Committee and current members for 2010/11 are:

Treasurer: Margaret Chapman

Parish Council Rep: Carol Newhouse

Anyone in the village is welcome to volunteer to serve on the committee.

Hire

Anyone can hire the Hall for a separate fund raising event or personal use.

Charges for hiring the Hall 2009/10 are:

£5 an hour, (£3.50 for locals)

£20 a day

Use of kitchen, extra

Youth Club

Tea and cakes – Village Hall teas are held on Spring Bank Holiday weekends in May

Annual Village Barbecue
